Echo Lago

While most of us tend to think of an ultra-clear stream with super picky trout as the pinnacle of technical fly fishing, fishing a lake can often be just as tough…and whenever you don’t have a rod designed for the task, things only get tougher. That was until Echo made their Lago series of fly rods. Designed to cover water efficiently, the Lago series features a 10’ length to increase reach and cast anything from a dense sinking line with a series of nymphs all the way to a floating line with a large parachute. However, the benefit of this longer rod also comes into play when fishing from a float tube or canoe, something that’s often handicapped by fishing shorter rods like a 9’ or even an 8’6”--whether you’re gearing up for a roll cast or getting your sinking line to the surface to recast, the 10’ length of the Lago is sure to make things simpler. And although this family of rods was designed for use in stillwater environments, the Lago is quickly becoming a top choice for fishing large rivers, especially when throwing streamers or heavy nymph rigs all day. Made in line weights 5 through 7, Echo’s Lago has an option whether you’re chasing chunky lake trout in our home state of Maine or working an alpine lake filled with feisty rainbows.

Stainless Stripping Guides with Ceramic Insert - A high-quality choice for this relatively affordable series of rods, Echo’s Lago is outfitted with stainless steel stripping guides that have a ceramic insert. These stripping guides give excellent line slickness to make long casts easy, while also increasing durability and decreasing corrosion.

Warranty 

As of August 2022, all Echo rods are covered by their warranty policy for the natural life of the rod for its original owner, wholly at the discretion of Rajeff Sports. The warranty for Echo rods is covered by a service fee, and/or if the rod is discontinued or non-repairable, Echo will offer an equivalent replacement at 50% of the MSRP. Echo’s warranty applies to any damage that occurs while on the water, so whether you’ve snapped your rod on the fish of a lifetime or the wind quickly changed direction while throwing a heavy stonefly, Echo has your back. However, Echo will not cover damages caused by general neglect, whether that be your rod getting closed in a car door or your dog using the cork as a teething ring.
