One of those fish that takes you almost everywhere–from tiny alpine streams to swift rivers to a deep reservoir and finally to that slow-moving tailout with a bruiser that you’ve been spying on for the last month–trout fishing requires endless versatility and adaptation, with Echo’s all-new Trout X Fly Rod, they’re here to make overcoming those challenges nice and easy. Utilizing their Variable Sweet Spot (VSS) Technology in conjunction with a medium-fast action, Echo provides you with the ability to accurately cover a range of distances with equal efficiency–whether it’s a plunge pool only 15’ away, the lazy sipper all the way on the opposite bank, or a run in between, you can count on the Trout X to get your fly there. Crafted in line weights 3 through 6 with a variety of different lengths, Echo’s Trout X accommodates a wide range of angling styles and allows you to fish anything from small dry flies to heavy nymph rigs and even large streamers. No matter what the conditions call for, whether the water’s high, low, fast, still, or slow, Echo’s new Trout X is a sure bet everywhere you take it.

Variable Sweet Spot (VSS) Technology - Through the use of their Variable Sweet Spot Technology, Echo is able to make their Trout X series of rods accommodate a range of casting distances with equal accuracy. Designed for moderate to skilled casters, VSS is a progressive taper where the rod’s stiffness increases as you move from the tip to the butt section. This technology allows the angler to utilize every inch of the rod and provides power just where you need it without compromising the rod’s castability.

Graphite - Echo crafts their Trout X Fly Rods from a high-quality graphite. This choice aids in overall durability while keeping things lightweight, and with its medium-fast action and VSS, you get the power that you need without any decrease in sensitivity. A mist green color also comes into play for a timeless appearance while alignment dots make your life easier everywhere you go.

Guides

SiC Stripper Guides - A classic choice that’s tough to beat, Echo utilizes lightweight SiC Stripper Guides on their Trout X family. These guides work to improve the efficiency of your haul to help further your cast while also providing all of the line slickness that you need for tough targets.

Chrome Plated Snake Guides - Durable and lightweight without any friction, Echo finishes the Trout X off with Chrome Plated Snake Guides. These guides are a complement to the overall build of this series, and in combination with the SiC Stripper Guides and VSS technology, they work to further increase your casting versatility.

Reel Seat

Burl Wood Reel Seat - On their Trout X Rods, Echo incorporates a burled wood reel seat that combines an elegant look with performance that stands up for years to come. An uplocking construction also keeps things well-secure no matter what the day holds.

Rod Tube

Built for the trout angler that goes everywhere and fishes every piece of water they cross, Echo packages their Trout X in a durable rod tube and sock. This tube gives your rod a safe place to rest during its downtime.

Warranty

As of April 2023, all Echo rods are covered by their warranty policy for the natural life of the rod for its original owner, wholly at the discretion of Rajeff Sports. The warranty for Echo rods is covered by a service fee, and/or if the rod is discontinued or non-repairable, Echo will offer an equivalent replacement at 50% of the MSRP. Echo’s warranty applies to any damage that occurs while on the water, so whether you’ve snapped your rod on the fish of a lifetime or the wind quickly changed direction while throwing a heavy stonefly, Echo has your back. However, Echo will not cover damages caused by general neglect, whether that be your rod getting closed in a car door or your dog using the cork as a teething ring.
